A GESTURE IN THE NAME OF FRIENDSHIP

Sent: Tue, 3 May, 2011 23:49:39

Dear Friends & As Salam to ALL,

Back in the late 80's and early 90's when most and all of us decided  to settle down, the sight of our circle of friends, school friends were never in our priority and invitation list. It was not that we've never thought of this, merely at that time we were building our life and at the same time head over heels in love, with a different set of agenda to build a family.

During that period too, all of us were scattered all over the country plying our trade to make a living and the thoughts of 'circle of Cliffordian friends' hardly crossed our minds. Without realizing them, 20+ years passed us by, entering half a decade of our lives and we had sang a different tune now. We had entered the 2nd year since we started to re-establish and rekindled our lost friendship times and what's make this collaboration more sweeter, it's our children moments to experience what we had gone through 20+ years ago.

Although I were not there to witness the marriage of one of our daughter's friend, Seli in Kualer last weekend, there's a number of friends amongst us that I felt worth mentioning for their gesture to attend and be part of 'a proud father in Seli'. I may have yet to talk to Seli but deep down in his heart, I knew he was so glad and happy to see a number of you during the wedding.

There's Sham who drove over 3 states to be there, Yassin, all the way from Sg Petani, Zam, who had to endure the hand brake problem to his car upon reaching Kualer, Fuzy Cowboy whom cut short his holiday with family to attend the wedding, Pa whom instead of making his final preparation for Umrah two days after to come over, Azizul and Ajih from Lumut, Aiznin, who arrived late as he was required to attend a khenduri of his relatives first in KL, Nonie, whom was required to go to Batu Gajah first, BJ who drove all alone from KL to attend while the rest from Ipoh and within the vicinity of Kualer to be present on that day.

Another name worth mentioning is our Latif, whom was also playing co-host to Seli as he may be very busy attending to his other guest of the day. Again, I may not be there to witness all of these and meet all these friends, but your presence and gesture just reflected that this friendship of our is very relevant and may this friendship spirit lives until we die!
