The few brighter buddies whilst at school.., be it in Primary or secondary with a number plied their brainy prodigy elsewhere… Mekomer, yang teman ingat, yang cordik-cordik masa sekolah…
16. SYED HASHIM WAFA – A straight A's lad whilst at school, sekarang bekorjer kat PETRONAS Carigali di Kerteh, Trengganu.. The Arab look is still very much intact, just that the physique was slightly out of proportion maybe due to richness in food intake, well taken care of and not forgetting a handsome income derived over the years. Met during the Reunion at Chandan Gallery in January this year & do pen his thoughts in this forum.
17. VIJAYAN & NOW ABDUL HAMID – Met during one our meet with Sham & Yasin as host at SP in early March. Used to sail for a number of years but now working in Alor Star, married but can't recalled how many kids he have. His trademark while in school was a small patch of white hair but surprisingly now, was nowhere to be seen, either he dyed it black or it turned black over the years. A cool guy!
18. SYED BAHARUM – Met during MBK, rumah murah jln baru lad during schooldays and the only creature now that I got to know who didn't carry a handphone. Another down-to-earth buddy currently pursuing his doctorate or already got one(maybe) and attached at UTP, Tronoh as a lecturer. Looked very different before as compared to present!
19. DR SENTHI – One of school's best student during heydays and a practisng doctor now. The only doctor I knew and happened to be a good buddy of mine who carries with him a pack of Benson & hedges. Short of saying a smoking doctor! If any of you fall sick while in Ipoh, please make it a point to call our Dr Senthi or visit his clinic at Jalan Pasir Putih,, either you walked out of the clinic paying half the fee or you get attended FOC!
20. DR SENTHURAN – Another practising doctor currently resides in Kota Kinabalu, SABAH. A few friends did meet him there before to name a few Jeffry & jijul, spoke Sabahan dialect like he is one of them, can understand especially when plying his trade more than 20 years in Sabah. Married a Sabahan with 2 kids now.
21. KAMARUL BAHARAIN – An engineer with a company in Ipoh.. Appearance, physique very much the same as if he is 20 years younger than his age now. Still a quiet and rather reserved person, Speak when spoken and mentioned cliffordian blood is very much in him(Dia ni masuk Malay College form 1 keateh…)
22. SHAHAR AFFENDI – A geologist now residing in Johore, met during 1st reunion at Chandan Gallery… Badan dah tembam banyak compared to masa sekolah dulu. Masuk MCKK Form 1 keateh, dulu kat MCKK eksyen sikit.., but like Kamarul, Cliffordian blood is very much in him.. itu pasei dia datang all the way from Johor for the reunion at Chandan Gallery.
23. BAKAR JAMILI @ BJ – Mamat pandei kat sekolah dulu, a good buddy of mine.., ex colleague at Maybank, colleague in an IT outfit and later become competitor/ rival in IT business but still good friends. Now an IT Consultant and most of his business deal clinched while nebeh… main golf! Eldest son already in mid 20's and youngest kid not even 1 year old.. ( Zuli, mike dah dapat cucu tapi BJ ni masih boleh buat anak lagi..)
24. MAEL TALANG – Punk and samseng look still very much intact, dulu & kini… Matured very early even in school, brainy but always playing truant & naughty in all aspects. Director at Timber Board now.. carries with him 2 hp's all the time. Bila komer nengok dia pakei hp kecik tu… ade le dark secret dia. Extra pandei masa kat sekolah dulu jugak, all for the wrong reasons… pandei niru masa exam!
25. YAZID MANSOR – Vice President with PETRONAS Dagangan, did his haj last year, still looked very much the same when met during the MBK, soft spoken buddy whilst in school and even now, Form 1 went to SMS and now a corporate figure at PETRONAS
26. DR. ZUHAIRI – Another soft spoken guy who smiles a lot and currently attached at CIDB. Met during the 1st reunion and joined in one of our Get together. A doctorate and still looked very much the same except for front portion of head which is a bit aerodynamic which may due to heavily usage of the brain!
27. ZAHARI – Now a Director at JUPEM, met during the 1st reunion in KL, quiet and reserved buddy (agaknye orang pandei2 semue nye macam itu kot).., Sof spoken too and holds a lot of joy and happiness in his face.. (gemor benor senyum..!)
28. SUBAYOGAN – A lawyer by profession now. Plied his trade for more than 10 years in New Zealand and still off and on truncating between Auckland and KL, Married a New Zealander i.e an ex miss new Zealand. Was rather quiet now since his capati feast for friends and the MBK meet but commands very good spoken Malay and can put all of us MELAYU to shame with his spoken Malay! Skinny guy while schooldays but now physique blown out of proportion a bit. Sorry bro… dah enroll ke kat Fitness Centre..??!)
29. AZIZ SAYONG @ AZIZ BROJIN – Dulu kat sekolah pandei.. penyegap jugak.. tapi sekarang dah bertukor, banyak bercakap dan banyak jugak nolong kekawan berniaga, one good buddy now, resides and runs his business in Melaka but always find time to be and meet friends in KL whenever he is in town!
30 JEFFRY SELVARAJAH NOW AS JEFFRY FAISAL – You'll be fascinating with his looks and appearance. Very much the same 30 years ago and now. Takde apa yang bezanye. Orang yang tak kenei, nengok dia ingat masih in his late 20's or early 30's. With the Navy, Submarine commander… always make it a point to meet when he is in the country… Always there in a few meets that were held, were at the 1st reunion, at MBK and continuously grateful for this meet again with friends of yesteryears!
